In Breath of the Wild, gamers had to collect several dragon parts if they wanted to make powerful elixirs or upgrade their armor to the maximum. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is no different, but on top of this, dragon parts also provide unique and useful weapon fusion bonuses.

This guide will focus on the Light Dragon, and it'll show players how they can collect Light Dragon Scales in Tears of the Kingdom. Gamers will also be able to learn about the Light Dragon's movement patterns and the easiest way to farm its parts.
How to Get Light Dragon Scales
In order to collect Light Dragon Scales in Tears of the Kingdom, players will first have to find the Light Dragon, but this can be quite difficult since it's the dragon that travels the longest route around the map.
The Light Dragon travels clockwise around the entire map. It takes five in-game days for it to complete its route, which is the equivalent of two hours in real-time. A good way to find the Light Dragon is to visit the Skyview Towers counterclockwise; eventually, the player's path and the dragon's will meet.
Players can fast travel to the Nachoyah Shrine on the Great Sky Island and then climb to the very top. The Light Dragon usually flies pretty close to this area, allowing gamers to get close to it without wasting too many resources.
To get a Light Dragon Scale, gamers have to hit the dragon's back, either with an arrow or a melee weapon. They must then collect it from wherever it dropped.
How to Farm Light Dragon Scales
It can be quite tedious to farm Light Dragon Scales in Tears of the Kingdom, but these are useful resources that are worth the effort.
To farm Light Dragon Scales, players should hop onto the dragon's back once they're close enough to it. They must get behind one of its blue spikes and hit it with a weapon. The Light Dragon Scale will drop in front of Link, on the dragon's back, for a couple of seconds, but players must pick it up as quickly as possible, or else it'll fly away, forcing gamers to leave the dragon's back to get it.
Gamers must then continue to ride the Light Dragon, and they can repeat the process every ten minutes for additional scales.
Light Dragon Scale Uses
Light Dragon Scales are useful in a handful of situations, so gamers might want to farm a few when they get the chance.
Even though a Light Dragon Scale only increases a weapon's attack power by 12, it will grant the fused weapon a special power that heals half a quarter of one of Link's hearts whenever it hits an enemy.
Additionally, gamers will need one Light Dragon Scale to get the Tunic of Memories to level one defense, and they will also need to collect two Light Dragon Scales to get the Champion's Leathers to level one defense.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
